The fabric used to make this cushion is called ‘Hiding Place’. Although it looks pretty and appealing on the surface, peek between the folds and you'll find spiders, beetles and ants among thorns and decaying vegetation.
This fabric is hand printed with water-based inks, folded and made into this unique purse in my studio in Scotland.
The base fabric is organic and has been handmade in a fair-trade co-operative in India. This same fabric is used to back and line the cushion cover.
As this is an entirely handmade product (apart from the zip – obviously) some variations may exist in both the weave and the print, making each entirely unique.
This cushion comes with a feather insert.
